Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 3.98% or 9.25 points to trade at 241.95 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 3.64% or 1.55 points to end at 44.18 and Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb) was up 2.66% or 7.1 points to 274.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which lost 2.47% or 11.6 points to trade at 457.2 in late trade. Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) declined 0.86% or 2.00 points to end at 230.90 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) shed 0.84% or 0.95 points to 112.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 320 to 312 and 51 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.06% or 0.74 to $70.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.18% or 0.14 to hit $79.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.50% or 6.00 to trade at $1208.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.28% to 10.3646, while USD/SEK fell 0.48% to 8.8666.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 94.04.
