Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Technology and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa), which rose 3.08% or 10.4 points to trade at 348.0 at the close. Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) added 2.36% or 7.3 points to end at 317.0 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was up 1.80% or 2.75 points to 155.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which lost 4.02% or 6.3 points to trade at 150.5 in late trade. Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) declined 1.54% or 1.9 points to end at 121.8 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) shed 1.36% or 2.50 points to 180.70.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 378 to 357 and 79 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.12% or 0.06 to $51.82 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $57.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 2.70 to trade at $1283.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.09% to 9.6010, while USD/SEK rose 0.00% to 8.1530.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 93.39.
