Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.79% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AB SKF B (ST:SKFb), which rose 4.58% or 6.8 points to trade at 156.4 at the close. H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) added 4.31% or 5.7 points to end at 138.9 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 4.07% or 1.33 points to 34.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb), which lost 4.48% or 33.0 points to trade at 703.0 in late trade. Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) declined 2.39% or 5.0 points to end at 204.3 and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) shed 1.45% or 1.45 points to 98.33.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 380 to 266 and 49 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.79% or 1.45 to $53.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.59% or 1.55 to hit $61.36 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 5.25 to trade at $1308.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.25% to 10.3688, while USD/SEK rose 0.27% to 9.0755.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 95.490.
