Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.98%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 4.67% or 1.37 points to trade at 30.69 at the close. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) added 4.29% or 22.50 points to end at 547.00 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 3.51% or 4.70 points to 138.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which lost 0.70% or 0.30 points to trade at 42.83 in late trade. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 0.45% or 1.0 points to end at 221.6 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) shed 0.38% or 1.8 points to 471.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 324 to 234 and 48 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 3.01% or 1.39 to $47.60 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.68% or 1.28 to hit $49.11 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.31% or 3.95 to trade at $1276.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.17% to 9.3411, while USD/SEK fell 0.06% to 8.2458.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.15% at 94.46.
