Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb), which rose 1.61% or 17.5 points to trade at 1101.5 at the close. Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) added 1.07% or 1.71 points to end at 161.56 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was up 0.85% or 1.9 points to 226.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 2.57% or 0.44 points to trade at 16.71 in late trade. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 1.99% or 0.96 points to end at 47.38 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) shed 1.68% or 3.3 points to 196.2.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 378 to 234 and 46 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.90% or 0.58 to $63.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.59% or 1.12 to hit $69.14 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $1334.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.22% to 9.8483, while USD/SEK rose 0.39% to 8.0446.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 90.36.
