Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 1.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 1.17% or 6.00 points to trade at 517.00 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) added 0.67% or 1.7 points to end at 254.6 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was up 0.18% or 0.5 points to 272.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb), which lost 3.39% or 6.10 points to trade at 174.10 in late trade. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 3.24% or 4.40 points to end at 131.50 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) shed 3.23% or 0.96 points to 28.80.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 389 to 185 and 44 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.87% or 0.40 to $45.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.37% or 0.65 to hit $46.95 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.37% or 4.75 to trade at $1270.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.20% to 9.3195, while USD/SEK rose 0.58% to 8.1875.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 94.06.
