Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) announced Wednesday, through social media platform “X”, formally Twitter, that the electric vehicle giant will be holding a launch event for their long-awaited Cybertruck electric pickup at the company’s Gigafactory in Texas on November 30th of this year.
During the company’s 3Q earnings call call held Wednesday, the company confirmed that “pilot production” of the electric pickup has already begun.
“At Gigafactory Texas, we began pilot production of the Cybertruck, which remains on track for initial deliveries this year,” the company said.
CEO, Elon Musk, had previously stated that Tesla was targeting the conclusion of Q3, which concluded last month.
Tesla claims a capacity of “over 125,000 Cybertrucks” at their Texas facility.
Shares of TSLA are up 1.74% after hours following a 4.78% drop on Wednesday.
