Toyota (NYSE:TM) announced Wednesday a shakeup to its North American management team with executive changes, effective immediately.
Michael Tripp, the current vice president of Vehicle Marketing and Communications, will be stepping into the role of group vice president for Toyota division Marketing.
Tripp's appointment follows the departure of Lisa Materazzo from the company in September.
In this role, Tripp will oversee a wide array of responsibilities including Toyota division advertising, merchandising, media, incentives, analytics, and motorsports.
Joe Moses, previously serving as the general manager of Vehicle Marketing and Communications, has been elevated to the position of vice president, Vehicle Marketing and Communications, taking over from Michael Tripp.
In this new capacity, Moses will spearhead the development and execution of Toyota's marketing strategy, focusing on creative asset development, brand and product training, and collaboration with the Toyota Dealer Association.
Shares of TM are up 0.80% in afternoon trading.
