First Quantum (TSX:FM) shares saw an increased price target from BMO (TSX:BMO). Meanwhile, BNNBloomberg reports that First Quantum is winding down operations at its Cobre Panama mine after a blockade by protestors prevented the delivery of supplies necessary for the operation of its mine.
A Brookfield (TSX:BBU_u)-led consortium of investors to take over Australia's Origin Energy Ltd faces a hurdle, as the utility's largest shareholder opposed the proposal. The vote by shareholders on a takeover offer by shareholders has said after Pension fund manager AustralianSuper, which holds a stake of over 17% in Origin said that it will vote against the offer.
Shares of Empire Company (TSX:EMPa) fell after National Bank of Canada (TSX:NA) downgraded the stock to "Sector Perform" from "Outperform".
