Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.50%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE), which rose 12.42% or 3.8 points to trade at 34.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) added 10.25% or 3.26 points to end at 35.05 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was up 8.43% or 20.4 points to 262.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which fell 5.30% or 1.0 points to trade at 18.4 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) declined 3.39% or 0.22 points to end at 6.27 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was down 3.31% or 0.90 points to 26.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 110 to 74 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.44% or 0.14 to $33.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.25% or 0.43 to hit $35.23 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.08% or 0.90 to trade at $1116.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.15% to 9.4373, while USD/NOK rose 1.30% to 8.7223.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.17% at 99.78.
