Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Auto & components, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Energy sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.88%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Telenor ASA (OL:TEL), which rose 1.24% or 1.7 points to trade at 139.0 at the close. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) added 1.15% or 0.02 points to end at 1.41 and Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) was up 0.74% or 0.50 points to 68.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which lost 10.84% or 1.93 points to trade at 15.88 in late trade. Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) declined 10.23% or 1.0 points to end at 8.6 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) shed 8.75% or 2.1 points to 21.9.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 109 to 55 and 21 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.69% or 0.32 to $46.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.48% or 0.23 to hit $48.19 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.63% or 8.55 to trade at $1367.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.72% to 9.3762, while USD/NOK rose 0.66% to 8.4618.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 96.25.
