Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Investment, Industrials and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG), which rose 2.20% or 400.0 points to trade at 18600.0 at the close. Cemargos (CN:CCB) added 1.55% or 180.0 points to end at 11820.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) was up 1.28% or 140.0 points to 11040.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI), which lost 1.33% or 200.0 points to trade at 14860.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 1.15% or 120.0 points to end at 10360.0 and Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) shed 0.89% or 340.0 points to 37860.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 10 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.01% or 0.02 to $141.60 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.91% or 28.50 to hit $3146.00 , while the August Gold contract fell 1.83% or 23.70 to trade at $1268.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.03% to 2976.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.41% to 872.27.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.51% at 94.16.
