DHX Media reports Monday
One of the world’s largest producers of children’s shows, Halifax-based DHX Media Ltd (TSX:DHX) (NASDAQ:DHXM) reports fourth-quarter earnings on Monday.
DHX owns the largest independent library of children’s content, and licenses it to broadcasters and streaming services around the world. Among its stable of titles is Peanuts, Teletubbies, Strawberry Shortcake, Caillou and Inspector Gadget.
Year-to-date, its stock price has dropped almost 30%. At the end of August, Eric Ellenbogen was named CEO and vice-chairman of the board of directors.
With all the action in the entertainment streaming sector, this might be a company investors will like to put on their watch list.
Blackberry (TSX:BB) reports Tuesday
BlackBerry Ltd (TSX:BB) will unveil its second quarter earnings before the opening bell on Tuesday. The one-time smartphone-manufacturer-turned-cybersecurity-software-leader will be reporting for the period ending Aug. 31.
Last quarter, the company, headquartered in Waterloo, Ont., reported sales of $247 million
For the last four quarters it has beat analyst earning estimates, but despite that performance, the stock has taken a bit of a hit. It has shown a return of -25.5% in the last year with an earnings per share of -0.11.
In late June, Blackberry stock took a month-long drop, loosing 22.9% before starting to rebound in the latter half of July. Since that time, it has regained just over 9%. It closed last Friday at $10.01.
The company aims to be the world’s largest artificial intelligence-cybersecurity company.
