The investment objective of the Asian Opportunities Fund is to achieve longer term capital growth, without undue risk, through diversified investment of at least two-thirds of its total assets in equities and bonds that are issued by corporations that have their registered office, or carry out a predominant portion of their economic activity in Asia and which are expected to benefit from the economic growth of China and its neighbouring countries and bonds issued by governments / government agencies in Asia. The Sub-Fund may invest in China H-Shares, which are shares issued by companies incorporated in the People’s Republic of China, denominated in Hong Kong dollars and traded on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The Sub-Fund may also invest up to one-third of its total assets in other equities, bonds and collective investment schemes and bonds issued by supranational organizations worldwide.

Biography | Nick Mottram was born in 1962. After gaining a degree in English and American Literature from the University of Kent at Canterbury, he joined Touche Ross & Co in 1984 as a trainee accountant. Nick went on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant in 1988, working as an audit manager. He joined Schroder Investment Management Ltd in 1990 as an investment analyst. He was appointed Head of UK Research in 1996, and in 1999 he became Joint Head of Pan European Research. | ||

Biography | From 1990-1992 she was a fund manager at Credit Lyonnais, and then from 1992-1997 she was at Hambro Pacific Fund Management. She won the Micropal Award for the UK Investment Trusts Far East ex Japan Sector in 1996 and in 1997, she was named Fund Manager of the Year by Investment Week. Following a year at Lombard Odier in 1997/98 she then co-founded Eva Asset Management in1999 and was the manager of Eva Shareholders' Value Fund until the end of 2004 when she left to set up Dalton Capital (Hong Kong) Ltd. |
