The Personal Trust Equity Fund is a domestic, general equity portfolio. The primary investment objective of the portfolio is to seek long term capital growth through exposure to the South African equity market. In order to achieve its objective, the portfolio will normally be predominantly invested in quality SA equity securities with long term growth potential, subject to statutory investment limitations. The portfolio will invest in a mix of SA equity securities and assets in liquid form. The portfolio may also include participatory interests in portfolios of collective investment schemes registered in South Africa.

Biography | Mark has over 30 years of experience in the bond and equity markets managing clients’ funds, both on a discretionary and non-discretionary basis. He has a long association with Personal Trust. Mark has always worked for stockbroking firms and has firsthand experience of the changing world of stockbroking. He was working at Simpson McKie when the partners sold the business to HSBC. When HSBC sold the business to Investec a number of years later, he and a number of his colleagues left to set up an office for Barnard Jacobs and Mellet in Cape Town.
