Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Technology and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ASML Holding (AMS:ASML), which rose 2.73% or 2.39 points to trade at 90.06 at the close. Meanwhile, NN Group (AMS:NN) added 2.58% or 0.72 points to end at 28.86 and OCI (AMS:OCI) was up 2.00% or 0.590 points to 30.070 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vopak (AMS:VOPA), which fell 0.45% or 0.21 points to trade at 47.06 at the close. Royal Dutch Shell A (AMS:RDSa) declined 0.41% or 0.11 points to end at 26.66 and Delta Lloyd (AMS:DLL) was down 0.18% or 0.03 points to 16.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 131 to 82 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in NN Group (AMS:NN) rose to all time highs; up 2.58% or 0.72 to 28.86.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 0.30% to 16.98.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.82% or 0.80 to $44.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.69% or 1.32 to hit $50.56 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.06% or 11.60 to trade at $1105.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.32% to 1.0999, while EUR/GBP fell 0.37% to 0.7054.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.33% at 97.34.
