Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Energy and Media sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 1.74% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG), which rose 2.37% or 2.70 points to trade at 116.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) added 0.96% or 0.1 points to end at 9.4 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was up 0.47% or 0.12 points to 25.88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 12.12% or 0.80 points to trade at 5.80 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 6.46% or 1.6 points to end at 23.3 and Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OL:REC) was down 5.13% or 0.08 points to 1.55.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 129 to 52 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) fell to 5-year lows; down 6.46% or 1.6 to 23.3.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 4.52% or 1.50 to $31.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 5.45% or 1.85 to hit $32.08 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1098.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.35% to 9.7298, while USD/NOK rose 0.73% to 8.9406.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.26% at 98.71.
