Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Utilities and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 1.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris (MI:TENR), which rose 2.29% or 0.2900 points to trade at 12.9700 at the close. Saipem (MI:SPMI) added 0.75% or 0.0031 points to end at 0.4145 and Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) was up 0.53% or 0.11 points to 21.03 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP), which lost 4.37% or 1.25 points to trade at 27.37 in late trade. Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT) declined 3.27% or 0.48 points to end at 14.21 and Exor (MI:EXOR) shed 3.18% or 1.17 points to 35.68.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 273 to 115 and 27 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.40% or 0.64 to $46.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.24% or 0.60 to hit $48.95 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.33% or 4.45 to trade at $1351.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.73% to 1.1265, while EUR/GBP fell 0.38% to 0.8651.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.75% at 94.86.
