Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Energy and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.89%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 8.87% or 1.11 points to trade at 13.62 at the close. BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) added 5.70% or 2.38 points to end at 44.16 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was up 4.40% or 0.96 points to 22.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which lost 1.24% or 3.0 points to trade at 239.0 in late trade. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) declined 0.85% or 2.8 points to end at 326.0 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) shed 0.54% or 1.50 points to 277.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 105 to 77 and 16 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.51% or 0.75 to $50.26 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.97% or 0.51 to hit $53.05 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.44% or 5.50 to trade at $1248.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.22% to 9.1704, while USD/NOK rose 0.58% to 8.5486.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 99.99.
