Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Diversified Financials and Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE), which rose 5.54% or 2.2 points to trade at 41.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Subsea 7 SA (OSLO:SUBC) added 3.75% or 2.3 points to end at 63.7 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) was up 3.43% or 1.11 points to 33.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which fell 8.61% or 0.13 points to trade at 1.38 at the close. Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA) declined 4.15% or 1.89 points to end at 43.61 and Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS) was down 3.07% or 0.3 points to 11.1.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 104 to 74 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA) fell to 52-week lows; falling 4.15% or 1.89 to 43.61.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.94% or 0.86 to $45.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.00% or 0.94 to hit $48.28 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1131.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.75% to 9.5241, while USD/NOK fell 0.81% to 8.4647.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 96.03.
