Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.24% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 1.75% or 0.02 points to trade at 1.34 at the close. P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) added 1.21% or 3.80 points to end at 316.80 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was up 0.84% or 1.1 points to 132.6 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which lost 6.33% or 17.8 points to trade at 263.2 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 4.33% or 0.8 points to end at 17.0 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) shed 4.20% or 1.10 points to 25.06.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 114 to 66 and 24 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.30% or 0.16 to $52.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.74% or 0.41 to hit $55.34 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.62% or 7.70 to trade at $1240.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.09% to 8.8470, while USD/NOK fell 0.47% to 8.2990.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 100.56.
