Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP), which rose 3.45% or 1.34 points to trade at 40.20 at the close. Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) added 3.30% or 0.77 points to end at 24.08 and Powszechna Kasa Oszczednosci Bank Polski SA (WA:PKO) was up 2.19% or 0.68 points to 31.69 in late trade.
Biggest losers included mBank (WA:MBK), which lost 5.35% or 20.90 points to trade at 370.00 in late trade. LPP SA (WA:LPPP) declined 2.73% or 146.00 points to end at 5205.00 and Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) shed 2.37% or 1.69 points to 69.51.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 285 to 282 and 164 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.13% or 0.61 to $53.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.44% or 0.82 to hit $55.99 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.83% or 10.15 to trade at $1230.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.17% to 4.2950, while USD/PLN rose 0.30% to 4.0016.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 100.06.
