Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Utilities and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HEL:HUH1V), which rose 2.47% or 0.76 points to trade at 31.48 at the close. Meanwhile, Tieto Oyj (HEL:TIE1V) added 1.55% or 0.35 points to end at 22.90 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HEL:STERV) was up 1.31% or 0.110 points to 8.520 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TeliaSonera AB (HEL:TLS1V), which fell 1.85% or 0.100 points to trade at 5.315 at the close. Konecranes Oyj (HEL:KCR1V) declined 1.60% or 0.52 points to end at 32.03 and Cargotec Oyj (HEL:CGCBV) was down 1.18% or 0.39 points to 32.54.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 91 to 78 and 7 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.76% or 0.38 to $49.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.88% or 0.37 to hit $42.60 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.19% or 2.10 to trade at $1113.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.22% to 1.1125, while EUR/GBP fell 0.37% to 0.7114.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 96.52.
