Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Personal & Household Goods, Consumer Goods and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk B (COP:NOVOb), which rose 1.59% or 5.8 points to trade at 371.3 at the close. Meanwhile, GN Store Nord (COP:GN) added 1.59% or 1.9 points to end at 121.6 and Carlsberg A/S B (COP:CARLb) was up 1.49% or 7.5 points to 510.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Coloplast A/S (COP:COLOb), which fell 4.67% or 22.4 points to trade at 457.7 at the close. FLSmidth & Co. (COP:FLS) declined 1.43% or 3.2 points to end at 220.2 and TDC A/S (COP:TDC) was down 1.35% or 0.50 points to 36.64.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 83 to 72 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in FLSmidth & Co. (COP:FLS) fell to 5-year lows; losing 1.43% or 3.2 to 220.2. Shares in TDC A/S (COP:TDC) fell to 5-year lows; losing 1.35% or 0.50 to 36.64.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 3.00% or 1.39 to $44.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.70% or 0.83 to hit $48.24 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.57% or 6.40 to trade at $1131.20 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.43% to 6.6748, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4608.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 96.39.
