Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Mining and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.75%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which rose 4.27% or 0.320 points to trade at 7.820 at the close. Meanwhile, Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 3.37% or 0.015 points to end at 0.460 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was up 2.67% or 0.100 points to 3.850 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA), which fell 2.35% or 0.100 points to trade at 4.150 at the close. Edelnor (LM:EDN) declined 0.86% or 0.040 points to end at 4.630 and Milpo (LM:MIL) was down 0.55% or 0.010 points to 1.800.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 13 to 7 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Edelnor (LM:EDN) fell to 52-week lows; losing 0.86% or 0.040 to 4.630.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.42% or 0.19 to $45.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.78% or 0.38 to hit $48.23 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.11% or 1.30 to trade at $1165.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.15% to 3.2548, while EUR/PEN fell 0.32% to 3.6821.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.44% at 96.44.
