Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Communication, Biomed and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which rose 2.94% or 23.8 points to trade at 834.0 at the close. Meanwhile, OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 2.00% or 77 points to end at 3922 and Teva (TA:TEVA) was up 1.86% or 470 points to 25770 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Avner L (TA:AVNRp), which fell 4.12% or 9.7 points to trade at 225.6 at the close. Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) declined 3.00% or 2260 points to end at 72960 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) was down 2.89% or 35 points to 1175.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 177 to 175 and 103 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.00% or 0.36 to $35.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.32% or 0.48 to hit $36.40 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.22% or 13.00 to trade at $1078.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.09% to 3.8950, while EUR/ILS rose 0.42% to 4.2519.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.31% at 98.43.
