In a report, Australian Bureau of Statistics said that Australian Building Approvals rose to a seasonally adjusted 8.3%, from 2.2% in the preceding week whose figure was revised up from 1.8%.
Analysts had expected Australian Building Approvals to fall to -0.5% last week.
