Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Investment, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.74%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 2.40% or 200.0 points to trade at 8540.0 at the close. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) added 1.88% or 300.0 points to end at 16300.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) was up 1.66% or 65.0 points to 3980.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which lost 9.72% or 175.0 points to trade at 1625.0 in late trade. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 4.81% or 105.0 points to end at 2080.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) shed 2.21% or 440.0 points to 19500.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 8 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was up 0.84% or 1.03 to $123.08 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 1.39% or 40.50 to hit $2955.00 , while the June Gold contract fell 1.65% or 20.60 to trade at $1227.70 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.37% to 2994.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.24% to 861.29.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.17% at 94.97.
