Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Media and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which rose 9.39% or 0.7 points to trade at 8.4 at the close. Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) added 5.06% or 1.85 points to end at 38.40 and Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) was up 2.79% or 1.50 points to 55.25 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 5.98% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.10 in late trade. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) declined 4.92% or 0.6 points to end at 11.6 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) shed 3.90% or 0.7 points to 17.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 94 to 84 and 22 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.36% or 0.16 to $44.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.09% or 0.04 to hit $45.91 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.03% or 0.45 to trade at $1318.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.06% to 9.2700, while USD/NOK rose 0.13% to 8.2990.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.08% at 95.87.
