Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Services, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Celsia SA (CN:CEL), which rose 2.30% or 95.0 points to trade at 4230.0 at the close. Etb (CN:ETB) added 0.98% or 6.0 points to end at 620.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) was up 0.83% or 10.0 points to 1215.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 1.78% or 65.0 points to trade at 3595.0 in late trade. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) declined 0.90% or 0.2 points to end at 22.0 and Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) shed 0.75% or 140.0 points to 18520.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 9 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.39% or 0.58 to $149.73 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 3.83% or 82.00 to hit $2222.00 , while the February Gold contract fell 0.04% or 0.45 to trade at $1196.15 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 2.33% to 2925.00, while BRL/COP fell 2.03% to 917.56.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.28% at 101.42.
