TORONTO, Aug 10 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index rose on Wednesday to a fresh 13-month high, led by the materials group as gold rallied.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 41.62 points, or 0.28 percent at 14,842.85, shortly after the open. Six of the index's 10 main groups were higher.
