Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Prysmian (MI:PRY), which rose 3.76% or 0.93 points to trade at 25.68 at the close. Recordati (MI:RECI) added 3.55% or 1.30 points to end at 37.90 and Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) was up 1.84% or 1.45 points to 80.25 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ENI (MI:ENI), which lost 1.47% or 0.21 points to trade at 14.05 in late trade. Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (MI:UNPI) declined 1.34% or 0.050 points to end at 3.684 and Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) shed 1.26% or 0.32 points to 25.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 213 to 128 and 13 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.99% or 0.48 to $47.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.87% or 0.44 to hit $50.19 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.74% or 9.40 to trade at $1276.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.50% to 1.1269, while EUR/GBP rose 0.53% to 0.8750.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 96.71.
