Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 2.68%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa), which rose 4.90% or 8.7 points to trade at 186.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) added 4.80% or 11.1 points to end at 242.4 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was up 4.67% or 5.60 points to 125.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which fell 1.77% or 1.35 points to trade at 74.85 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 0.93% or 1.30 points to end at 138.80 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) was down 0.31% or 0.50 points to 160.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 389 to 189 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.42% or 0.88 to $37.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.81% or 0.69 to hit $38.85 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.30% or 3.20 to trade at $1060.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.51% to 9.2752, while USD/SEK rose 0.23% to 8.5000.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.57% at 98.30.
