Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Investment sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.12%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 3.53% or 60.0 points to trade at 1760.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) added 3.20% or 760.0 points to end at 24500.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 2.93% or 660.0 points to 23160.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which fell 1.17% or 0.2 points to trade at 16.9 at the close. Celsia SA (CN:CEL) declined 0.99% or 30.0 points to end at 3000.0 and Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) was down 0.86% or 15.0 points to 1735.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 20 to 8 and 3 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for March delivery was up 1.55% or 1.85 to $121.47 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 2.35% or 65.00 to hit $2831.50 , while the April Gold contract rose 1.18% or 13.30 to trade at $1140.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.60% to 3374.00, while BRL/COP rose 1.76% to 865.79.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.52% at 97.36.
