OTTAWA, Aug 24 (Reuters) - Canada has solid economic
fundamentals and needs to stick to policies designed to cut
taxes and boost growth, Prime Minister Stephen Harper said on
Monday when pressed on market turmoil.
Harper also told a televised news conference in Quebec that
the government had a range of tools that it could use in case of
"much more serious circumstances". He did not give details.
