OTTAWA, Aug 4 (Reuters) - Canada's left-leaning New
Democratic Party, which has pledged to hike corporate taxes to
fund its spending plans if it wins the federal election, told
reporters on Tuesday its planned tax increases would only be
slight and they would be graduated.
Mulcair has not specified how far he would increase the
federal corporate tax rate, which is currently 15 percent, but
in 2011 it said it would raise an additional C$33.7 billion
($25.7 billion) over four years in boosting it to 19.5 percent.
