CAIRO, Aug 13 (Reuters) - Egypt's state grains buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), on Thursday received a lowest offer of $204.90 a tonne for 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat in an international purchase tender, traders said.
The offer was presented by Aston but was rejected because the port of Kavkaz is not among GASC's registered ports, traders said.
GASC is seeking an unspecified quantity of wheat for shipment Oct. 1-10 with payment using 180-day letters of credit following a tender earlier this week during which the state buyer procured 120,000 tonnes of Russian wheat. gave the following breakdown of the offers presented in dollars per tonne on a free-on-board (FOB) basis:
