Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Materials, Capital Goods and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.98%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 5.17% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.38 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) added 5.00% or 0.8 points to end at 16.4 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 3.62% or 1.75 points to 50.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which lost 1.08% or 0.09 points to trade at 8.24 in late trade. P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) declined 0.95% or 3.10 points to end at 324.50 and Schibsted ASA B (OL:SBSTB) shed 0.49% or 1.00 points to 205.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 112 to 63 and 35 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.73% or 0.93 to $52.93 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.96% or 1.11 to hit $55.59 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.89% or 11.05 to trade at $1224.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.11% to 8.8916, while USD/NOK rose 0.13% to 8.3862.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 100.97.
