Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.24% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 1.71% or 0.110 points to trade at 6.525 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 1.27% or 0.46 points to end at 36.67 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) was up 1.08% or 0.46 points to 43.13 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 5.86% or 0.292 points to trade at 4.690 in late trade. Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) declined 1.03% or 0.49 points to end at 47.14 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) shed 0.75% or 0.23 points to 30.47.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 72 to 67 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.91% or 0.50 to $55.42 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.60% or 0.32 to hit $53.38 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.90% or 10.25 to trade at $1132.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.11% to 1.0391, while EUR/GBP rose 0.32% to 0.8416.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.21% at 103.29.
