Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI), which rose 3.53% or 0.1200 points to trade at 3.5240 at the close. CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) added 3.46% or 0.345 points to end at 10.320 and Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) was up 2.74% or 0.076 points to 2.854 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI), which lost 2.26% or 0.31 points to trade at 13.42 in late trade. Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI) declined 2.21% or 0.14 points to end at 6.20 and Italgas SpA (MI:IG) shed 1.96% or 0.09 points to 4.69.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 186 to 175 and 7 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.77% or 0.35 to $45.99 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.92% or 0.44 to hit $48.30 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.59% or 7.55 to trade at $1271.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.10% to 1.1199, while EUR/GBP rose 0.72% to 0.8797.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 97.24.
