Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Communication, Insurance and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which rose 1.87% or 174 points to trade at 9499 at the close. Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp) added 1.46% or 0.8 points to end at 55.5 and Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA) was up 1.25% or 240.0 points to 19460.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Airport City Ltd (TA:ARPT), which lost 1.53% or 76 points to trade at 4877 in late trade. Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) declined 1.30% or 330 points to end at 25020 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) shed 1.29% or 7.2 points to 550.8.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 235 to 161 and 19 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.02% or 0.01 to $46.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.14% or 0.07 to hit $48.98 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 5.50 to trade at $1233.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.60% to 3.5767, while EUR/ILS rose 0.64% to 4.1027.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 94.94.
