Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Banking and Biomed sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 0.43% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Paz Oil (TA:PZOL), which rose 2.65% or 1550 points to trade at 60150 at the close. Meanwhile, Frutarom (TA:FRUT) added 2.60% or 410 points to end at 16160 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was up 2.40% or 1710 points to 72960 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT), which fell 2.05% or 640 points to trade at 30540 at the close. First International Bank of Israel (TA:FTIN) declined 1.23% or 67 points to end at 5390 and Strauss Group (TA:STRS) was down 0.95% or 57 points to 5959.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 174 to 166 and 108 ended unchanged.
Shares in Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 2.65% or 1550 to 60150.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.58% or 1.24 to $49.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.25% or 0.67 to hit $53.97 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.20% or 2.20 to trade at $1094.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.08% to 3.7753, while EUR/ILS fell 0.44% to 4.1612.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.21% at 96.97.
