Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 1.50%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 5.56% or 9.10 points to trade at 172.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) added 3.86% or 3.35 points to end at 90.20 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) was up 2.60% or 3.00 points to 118.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which fell 0.36% or 0.9 points to trade at 248.4 at the close. Modern Times Group MTG AB ser. B (ST:MTGBs) declined 0.33% or 0.8 points to end at 239.8 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) was down 0.14% or 0.3 points to 212.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 284 to 152 and 2 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.32% or 0.58 to $44.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.26% or 1.11 to hit $50.35 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.12% or 12.30 to trade at $1106.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.50% to 9.5654, while USD/SEK fell 0.75% to 8.6999.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.26% at 97.41.
