Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.53%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes Oyj (HEL:KCR1V), which rose 15.74% or 4.41 points to trade at 32.43 at the close. Meanwhile, Cargotec Oyj (HEL:CGCBV) added 0.39% or 0.13 points to end at 33.23 and Elisa Oyj (HEL:ELI1V) was up 0.22% or 0.07 points to 31.24 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which fell 5.44% or 0.2500 points to trade at 4.3420 at the close. KONE Oyj (HEL:KNEBV) declined 3.55% or 1.40 points to end at 38.06 and Nokia Oyj (HEL:NOKIA) was down 3.43% or 0.215 points to 6.045.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 122 to 50 and 2 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 2.89% or 1.48 to $49.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 3.94% or 1.77 to hit $43.19 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.27% or 3.00 to trade at $1107.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.06% to 1.1026, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.7085.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 97.37.
