Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Materials, Telecoms Services and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC lost 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO), which rose 3.09% or 0.930 points to trade at 31.070 at the close. Meanwhile, Coca-Cola Femsa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:KOFL) added 2.46% or 3.260 points to end at 135.790 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (MX:ASURB) was up 2.22% or 5.540 points to 254.600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which fell 1.96% or 0.240 points to trade at 12.000 at the close. Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) declined 1.84% or 0.840 points to end at 44.800 and Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) was down 1.63% or 0.670 points to 40.340.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 74 to 57 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Coca-Cola Femsa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:KOFL) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.46% or 3.260 to 135.790.
Gold for April delivery was down 2.88% or 35.70 to $1203.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.10% or 0.33 to hit $29.11 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 3.28% or 1.09 to trade at $32.30 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.19% to 18.8683, while EUR/MXN rose 0.05% to 21.0259.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 96.90.
