Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 3.03%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 9.42% or 0.0210 points to trade at 0.2440 at the close. Meanwhile, Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) added 7.88% or 0.1200 points to end at 1.6430 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) was up 7.88% or 0.2520 points to 3.4480 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which rose 1.05% or 0.0780 points to trade at 7.4990 at the close. REN (LS:RENE) added 1.06% or 0.0270 points to end at 2.5820 and Teixeira Duarte (LS:TDSA) was up 1.88% or 0.0050 points to 0.2710.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 45 to 5 and 1 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for April delivery was up 7.55% or 2.43 to $34.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 6.54% or 1.90 to hit $30.94 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.02% or 0.30 to trade at $1207.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.1139, while EUR/GBP fell 0.12% to 0.7781.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 96.81.
