Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 0.23% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 6.38% or 555 points to trade at 9255 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) added 5.74% or 485 points to end at 8935 and TDC A/S (CO:TDC) was up 3.18% or 1.05 points to 34.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA), which lost 1.30% or 0.80 points to trade at 60.55 in late trade. Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) declined 1.28% or 5.2 points to end at 402.6 and Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) shed 1.19% or 7.5 points to 622.5.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 77 to 59 and 18 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.27% or 0.12 to $43.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.40% or 0.18 to hit $44.79 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.88% or 11.40 to trade at $1280.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.01% to 6.4733, while EUR/DKK fell 0.03% to 7.4404.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 93.25.
