Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Industrials and Non-Metal Minerals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Unacem (LM:CEL), which rose 2.08% or 0.050 points to trade at 2.450 at the close. Alicorp (LM:ALI) added 1.60% or 0.130 points to end at 8.250 and Bolsa de Valores de Lima SAA (LM:BVL) was up 1.59% or 0.050 points to 3.200 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which lost 10.00% or 0.150 points to trade at 1.350 in late trade. Minera Irl (LM:IRL) declined 6.98% or 0.01 points to end at 0.08 and ENGIE Energia Peru SA (LM:ENGI) shed 3.15% or 0.250 points to 7.700.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 9 and 13 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.09% or 0.47 to $43.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $46.16 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.86% or 10.79 to trade at $1245.61 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2535, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6380.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 97.11.
