Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Communication and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.16% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Nice (TA:NICE), which rose 3.18% or 680 points to trade at 22090 at the close. Meanwhile, Perrigo (TA:PRGO) added 2.28% or 1400 points to end at 62900 and Strauss Group (TA:STRS) was up 1.18% or 62 points to 5263 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which fell 4.04% or 3800 points to trade at 90200 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) declined 2.58% or 52 points to end at 1966 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) was down 2.57% or 88 points to 3332.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 158 to 136 and 151 ended unchanged.
Shares in Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) fell to 5-year lows; losing 4.04% or 3800 to 90200. Shares in ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) fell to 5-year lows; down 2.58% or 52 to 1966.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.49% or 0.22 to $45.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.40% or 0.20 to hit $48.17 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1114.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.22% to 3.9309, while EUR/ILS rose 0.45% to 4.4039.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.31% at 96.12.
