Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Materials, Energy and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 5.42% or 2.85 points to trade at 55.45 at the close. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 4.66% or 0.34 points to end at 7.63 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was up 3.20% or 3.90 points to 125.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SalMar ASA (OL:SALM), which lost 4.52% or 9.80 points to trade at 207.20 in late trade. Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV) declined 3.94% or 3.20 points to end at 78.10 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) shed 3.13% or 10.20 points to 315.80.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 88 to 85 and 26 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.96% or 0.85 to $44.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.04% or 0.94 to hit $46.98 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 0.66 to trade at $1247.06 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.43% to 9.5250, while USD/NOK fell 0.83% to 8.4105.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.85% at 96.28.
